I'm curious if these small scale studies are really indicators but I would not be surprised, the main concern here wasn't that the mortality would be so much greater than the flu but that it would be more infection therefore create certain problems for the medical system and kill many more.
Out of curiosity, has any of the recent flu epidemics killed 34.5 K people in the US in a month? Because COVID19 has killed that many in the last 30 days.
My wife has 2 friends who had a parent recently died from this, they were elderly.

No doctor has ever bugged you to get the flu vaccine. They bug you to get the flu shot. Not the same thing, though I am not qualified to explain the difference.
And we are still way too close to this to be able to objectively analyze all the different data and studies and come to any definitive conclusions. We’ll still be sorting through all this shite for the better part of the 2020s. Anybody who is beating their chest thinking they have a complete grasp on this thing on April fricking 18th and have been vindicated is fricking retarded. Looking at you, OP.
