A bit of a spin-off thread spawned from an earlier one about throwing out your trash at theaters…

What’s the most absurd food or drink item you’ve gotten away with sneaking into a movie theater?

A friend of mine snuck in a piece of cheesecake on a plate with a fork for me on my birthday one year.

I’ve heard a pop-top open in a theater and it always makes me chuckle.

I normally just sneak in candy and buy the soda and popcorn there, but my MIL will sneak in cans of soda, microwaved popcorn in freezer bags, and one time she even snuck in sandwiches.

Jimmy Johns sandwich

No guilt whatsoever. Bought 4 drinks and a popcorn and it was close to $50. I like going to see a movie in a theater but pricing is absurd.

There was a local bargain theater where they would basically strip search you if they suspected you were sneaking something in. The Google reviews are hilarious: Buffalo Grove Theater

A long ways back, my buddy snuck a roast beef poboy(with gravy) into Interview with a Vampire. Pretty funny watching all the people get bitten up to the smell of roast beef gravy

Taking the family to the movie. 30 minutes in, I feel a tap on my shoulder. Its my mother in law "Do you want an egg salad sandwich?'

I'm sure if I asked her to bring bbq ribs into the theater, she'd figure out a way to sneak in a whole rack.

I heard and saw a mini wine bottle rolling down the floor from behind me. Had to laugh.

Perks of the wife carrying a huge purse.

I bring a CFA salad into the movies fairly regularly

Back in the the mid 2000s my sis and I had a tradition where for her birthday (in October) we would go see The Nightmare Before Christmas (which always got a limited run). We would order sushi takeout and she'd sneak it in with her giant purse.

We'd pass the rolls and enjoy the movie. It was a great tradition for a handful of years.
