humans stay out of the snake areas, snakes stay out of the human areas. If snakes break the deal that's on them.

I have no love for snakes but it's usually the humans breaking that deal.

That's what he gets for trying to help a snake.

quote:

A Farmer walked through his field one cold winter morning. On the ground lay a Snake, stiff and frozen with the cold. The Farmer knew how deadly the Snake could be, and yet he picked it up and put it in his bosom to warm it back to life.

The Snake soon revived, and when it had enough strength, bit the man who had been so kind to it. The bite was deadly and the Farmer felt that he must die. As he drew his last breath, he said to those standing around:

Learn from my fate not to take pity on a scoundrel.

I follow this guy on IG that handles "hots," aka venomous snakes. I don't follow him because I like snakes. Quite the opposite. I follow him because one day I know he's going to end up on the wrong end of a snake

I hand-caught over 30 venomous last year - not a single close call. Granted, I’m not going to handle exotics for which treatment isn’t readily available.

I paid $480 a vial when my dog got bit. At 65 vials I'd imagine he got a better bulk rate than the 3 I purchased.

I read that Cobras don’t just bite, they bite and chew along the flesh of their victims ensuring maximum carnage and venom injection.

So I decided not to frick with Cobras.

Personally I believe that humans should make human cobra interactions rare. A 12 or 12 gauge shotgun loaded with 6's would make that happen.

1,200,000 / 19 = 63,158 per year.
