I use Bed Time Fan or SleepFan apps when traveling. Both work well and have sleep timers. They helped greatly last weekend when It seems there was an insomniac pacing elephant staying in the room above me.

rain rain is the app I use on my iphone. It has dozens of free sounds and even some peculiar ones. I use it almost every night. Just keep your phone on the charge or it will run nearly half a battery over a 6-7hr night.

I have this white noise machine. Hate sleeping without it.

LINK /

I’ve used apps, but find true machine/fan sounds to be better than recorded white noise.

I’ve been sleeping with a desk fan on my nightstand for a few years now. My wife gets cold with the overhead fan on so I use the desk fan to keep cool and for the white noise.

White noise on Pandora. It gives you literally white noise, and sometimes it plays rainstorm and/or fire cracking sounds. Works for me.

White noise is a must have for sleeping whether app, fan or whatever.

I mentioned i would update....well, i used the white noise app last night (rainfall sound) until about 2 a.m. Woke up and was awake until 3 (waiting on text from daughter that had gone out last night...sorry no pics). Anyway, the sound kinda got to me....maybe it was slightly too loud but it seemed aggravating. So at 3 I turned on the TV and immediately fell back asleep and slept soundly until 6:30 when the alarm went off.

I'll try again tonight (since wife is out of town...sorry no pics) with another sound with slightly lower volume.

My alarm clock has a sound machine but I have apps I use for when I travel. The concept of laying in silence to fall asleep is just fricking weird.

I've been using the Hatch Baby Rest light & sound machine since my kid is still young enough to need to sleep in our room. I have it set to a dark blue light and rain sounds, its awesome. I may keep it for myself when its time for him to move to his own room.

You travel with a box fan? yeah that’s not trashy

I have to have a table fan on me when I sleep or I will be able to wring my pillow out the next morning. Doesn't matter what the temp is either. During the freeze this winter I had it on me. Granted my fan is a small cylinder fan rather than a box fan

Pzizz app on Iphone is really good They have a free and a Pro version. You can get the Pro for $19.99/year which gives you more options.

The free is fine too

Ellis Apps has both a box fan and a waterfall app which work well also
