I give Sinead a pass on her crazy antics, because she actually was crazy. Her son's and her story are both sad.

She had some issues, for sure

She chose the religion that produces the strongest men, and by historical standards, is the most traditional.

yes, conversion from a religion that venerates a woman as the mother of god to one that is violently misogynistic and patriarchal makes perfect sense...

Singer has tragic story and finishes it with suicide. TD thread gets loaded with vicious jokes at her expense.
Must be the OT.

when she tore up that picture I, like most everyone else, thought what an idiot, but I've read what she was was trying to bring attention to all of the sexual misdeeds that have gotten swept under the rug forever in the Catholic church, maybe she was ahead of her time

The weird thing I heard a few years ago is that she decided to no longer sing "Nothing Compares 2 U" in her concerts.
No doubt would disappoint virtually every fan that attended a show of hers.

Mental Illness is tough but for fricks sake. You killed yourself seemingly bc of your sons death but you’ve got other kids.

Wow.. that’s sad. Esp if it’s a suicide.

I'm singing this song for my sister Sinead
Concerning the god awful mess that she made
When she told them her truth just as hard as she could
Her message profoundly was misunderstood
There's humans entrusted with guarding our gold
And humans in charge of the saving of souls
And humans responded all over the world
Condemning that bald headed brave little girl
And maybe she's crazy and maybe she ain't
But so was Picasso and so were the saints
And she's never been partial to shackles or chains
She's too old for breaking and too young to tame
It's askin' for trouble to stick out your neck
In terms of a target a big silhouette
But some candles flicker and some candles fade
And some burn as true as my sister Sinead
And maybe she's crazy and maybe she ain't
But so was Picasso and so were the saints
And she's never been partial to shackles or chains
She's too old for breaking and too young to tame

No doubt she was a loon however, it was a protest over the sexual abuse coverups in the Church and we all know how that turned out. Just sayin.

yep, I don't think there's any doubt that she was a head case but I gave her a little 'spect after I found that out

Yep and the government funded public school system needs to be next on the radar. A lot of molestation in public schools.
