I thought everyone knew this - let the dog sniff the back of your hand - if it backs away or acts skittish leave it alone. If it's friendly give it a pat on the head. I treat dogs like, well, dogs.

Huh? I don't ask anyone if I can pet their dog. Dogs can sense if people are nervous, you got to show confidence but not intimidating. I think people who have dogs who approach dogs meekly must have dogs that run the show.

People of the OT clearly have it great, they're all living the good life. Because the shite that people have legitimately bitched about over the past few days clearly shows they don't have any real worries in life.

I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said ‘I love my grandpups!’ WTF is that? That’s stupid

My advice if you ever meet my German Shepherd..approach him slowly, extend your hand under his chin, make no sudden movements. If you aren't part of our pack, you don't have free reign to pet him however you want to.

There are some miserable people in the world. People should leash their dogs, but if a dog smelling you ruins your day, then you need to reevaluate your life.

It's not just that...also my wife is kinda skiddish around big dogs so yea maybe she should be able to go for a walk without having a few follow her around and get in her personal space.... maybe also I shouldn't have to pick up other dogs shite all over my yard because the neighborhood dogs are just free roaming.

A neighbor used to have a little yappy dog that she let run around her yard. Every time I'd jog past her house that fricking little shite would chase me down the street nipping at my ankles - literally an ankle biter. One day I got fed up and booted that little shite back into her yard. It never fricked me again.

Had another previous neighbor's dog run over into my yard and bite my then gf while she was gardening. That almost caused ww3 between me and my neighbor.

People are idiots with their dogs.
