People need to start saying no to these prices but until they do businesses will keep pushing to see how much people are willing to pay.

This doesn't exist. It's either a Tahoe Z71 or a Yukon AT4

Because money had gotten so cheap to borrow and car companies realized people are willing to take out 84 month loans on a vehicle.

This young girl, early 20’s told me her truck note is $800/mo. I asked her if she knew to negotiate the price and she said,”I just wanted the truck.” This is why prices are so high.

And it will likely end up being repossessed. Many people have no clue about what they realistically can afford once things start adding up.

Minivans are ugly and some people like to be in tanks as they feel safer. Make a minivan that looks like a SUV and you likely get more sales.

Looks are subjective but minivans look better now than in yesteryear and many SUVs—the crossovers and smaller ones—some of those do look like minivans. And besides, there’s nothing sexy or fun about a damn Highlander or RAV4. Those aren’t tanks either. At least Tahoes and Suburbans can tow.

Tell me this doesn’t look like a minivan.

Fully aware of what I could have bought, but the prices of a 1-2 yr old Full size SUV at the same trim was still ridiculous.. and they'd have 30k miles on them already.. Figured if i had to over pay for a vehicle might as well buy new.

Yep.

Our 2018 Yukon XL just had a new tranny installed under extended warranty……bitch just got 3 more years of life. Only way to combat it is to maximize service life

Not really?

Yea it looks more like a minivan than a yukon but it still doesn’t look anything like an odyssey or sienna

Laugh. Keep telling yourself that bud. Whatever helps you rationalize that 84 month note at 5% interest.

If I were filthy rich I still don’t think I’d spend up for a car. I give absolutely zero fricks about people seeing me drive a nice car and thinking I’m doing well for myself.

guess I'll just drive older vehicles moving forward. I could afford a 60k truck but I'm not willing to pay that much for a vehicle.

That's the decision that I just made. 2019 Toyota Camry. That's what I bought because that's really all I need. I ain't paying to impress.

This right here, if I had to commute again I’m finding an old Honda Civic to drive.
