But can you not walk into a dealership and give them X amount you want per month for a particular car and not get taken advantage of? You can still get ahead negotiating on monthly note if done correctly.

TBF that HAD to do something. The GX 460 looked like it came from the 90s on the interior.

I'm good with that. The Bling and "so 1990's interior" is part of created demand.

I would love to have a 560SEL or LS00 brand new. The current stuff looks like a Parisian brothel. Because it's kewl to have lots of crazy lines and swoops.

We are going to look at 2022 cars like 1959. Cookoo.

50k is expensive as hell to me. Personally, I don't think I'd ever spend more than around 33% of my gross income on a vehicle. So 33k if I made 100k.

Thank God for the baws trading up every 3 years because those are the vehicles I’m looking at. I’m on my second Lexus and the wife drives a Pilot - and we’ve never spent much over $30k on a vehicle.

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury this is exhibit A of why SUV'S are 95k

The last truck I bought the salesman came at me with some bullshite rate and I was like nawl player yall are advertising 1.9%, he was like I'm sorry sir that's only for 36 month financing. I told him that's what I wanted and he was SHOCKED.

The internet has made it so much easier to do all of this without having to haggle or wait out out the salesguy to come down on price. By the time I get to a dealer I know which car I want, what a fair price is, what a fair price for my trade in is, what rate I can get from my bank and what the payment should be.

The conversation is usually “I want to trade this car for that car and the payment should be X for X years. You guys figure it out. “. I don’t really care how they move the money around to get there. The finance guy comes back and says we can’t get that rate - I tell them I already have the rate so I’ll finance through the bank - then they miraculously say they are able to match the rate.

Then they try to sell you a bunch of shite you don’t need.

If it has their 2.4 L four-cylinder engine. Avoid at all costs. By far the worst vehicle I’ve ever purchased.

What the frick do people do that can afford these types of vehicles? Do people just not save a dime? Is everyone making $50-60K more than me?

I’m willing to bet there are people who make $50-60K less than you and are still paying six figures for a car.

The amount of people in this country who "can't afford to travel" and have $150,000 of vehicles their driveway always amuses me

Minivans are ugly and some people like to be in tanks as they feel safer. Make a minivan that looks like a SUV and you likely get more sales.
