Covid June 2020.

Had the flu one time, and it was really bad. I was on the John when I realized I had to puke.
Rolled right onto my knees and let fly into the bath tub, then passed out.
My GF found me on the bathroom floor with my sweatpants around my knees.

Flying home from Costa Rica, my abdomen started getting distended. My wife's noticed, said "why do u look pregnant?"... got off plane in Houston and immediately got whataburger drive thru, hoping to settle my stomach. Drove the 90 miles home at 100mph. My wife said "slow down, your gonna get pulled over". I said if I get pulled over, I'm gonna shite my pants. Yielded red lights and stop signs. Got home, straight to toilet, didn't get off toilet for next 6 hours. Shitting water, and puking in garbage can with 103 fever. Had to be at funeral home at 9am to make arrangements for my dad. Pretty miserable.
Covid for the month of July 2020 was worse. Low oxygen levels and shortness of breath to the point of not being able to speak complete sentences was awful. Got through it at home with ten thousand breathing treatments and shitload of steroids. Now I am immune to covid.

Delta variant Covid in Oct 2021.
Wife and I both almost died. My oxygen levels went into the high 70s.
Monoclonal Antibody Infusion Therapy saved me.

Flu 2013, the only time I’ve ever passed out in my life. The 3rd night of the ordeal after coming out of the bathroom I went headfirst under the kitchen table. I don’t know how long I was out before my wife found me, the crazy part is after laying on the floor a little while I felt much better. It’s like my body did a hard reset.

Food Poisoning 2015. From reheated rice. Had no fricking clue you could get it from that. It sat out on the counter for a while the night before. I put it in the fridge and nuked it the next day for lunch. Within 2 hours, I nearly collapsed and died, violently exploded out of my arse, arms and legs tingling I couldn't stand. Ambulance guys were yelling at me to stop breathing so fast (guess I was hyperventilating). Couldn't feel my limbs after a while. Finally got to hospital, tested me and determined it was Bacillus Celues. Exploded there a few times. I wanted to die. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

quote:this. I should have been hospitalized. Missed work for 3 or 4 weeks. Have had covid twice and it was nowhere near as bad as this.
Full blown flu, December 2017.

Foods that can cause food poisoning that I avoid:
Leftover rice
Shellfish
Raw/unpeeled fruit & veggies especially lettuce and spinach
Deli meats from unsanitary counters

I didn’t know leftover rice was a thing until now.

I had mono in college but it was more the length of time it lasted. I was taking two naps a day for over a month from just pure exhaustion.
My worst was food poisoning. I woke up at 4AM and had this distinct thought of “something feels off” and within 10 minutes I was curled up on the bathroom floor. Full body cramps and coming out both ends for 24 hours. I eventually had a friend take me to a clinic specifically for the body cramps. I didn’t trust myself to drive. They gave me a steroid shot and I was amazed that I went from debilitating pain to it being manageable within 15 minutes.
In retrospect, I didn’t have enough fluids…I was severely dehydrated which contributed to the body cramps.

Rice left in room temperature becomes a hot bed for Bacillus cereus.

Swine flu. Was in bed for over a week. Crawl to bathroom. After that was fighting severe fatigue for a month.

Crawfish Etouffee from Piccadilly years ago…literally thought I was dying any minute. It lasted about 24 hours.
