Too much government or good call to protect children?
Porn is way to easy for children to get their hands on, so I am not against the idea.

There is no way you can prevent underage from accessing the internet. It’s up to parenting skills. Porn isn’t the only thing on the internet where someone should be of age to look at.

Which do not extend very far. Those parental controls are only good within your house or devices. Your child's friends probably have worthless parents who did not invest in parental controls.

UK is a communist state. Look at the signs. No weapons allowed. Constant police supervision of law abiding citizens. Lack of police control of actual criminals. Government has a hand in everything. You can go to jail for posting on TD. Massive social welfare programs and wealth redistribution. Small ruling class. Increasing governed class with immigrants to maintain the status quo

I feel multiple ways about this.
1. Porn isn’t good for society as a whole and the individual.
2. Children accessing porn is even worse. It’s too easily accessible even when you aren’t looking for it.
3. However, this seems like a cash grab. Like a porn tax. If it’s really about age restriction, then why charge people money to verify their age?
4. I’m not against the idea of having to jump through some hoops to access porn, but I’m talking about porn specifically. If this kind of thing becomes accepted, you know the government will try to expand it to other areas. Then where does it stop? Slippery slope.
5. On the other hand, is it really any of the government’s business even if it’s not good for society?
I have many conflicted thoughts and I’m not sure where I stand.
