Tarver was the broker behind Perkins in the first place. Perkins dated Tarvers daughter at one point. Tarver strikes me as corrupt but he's likely got the power and connections with the black population that will determine the election.
Tarver doesn't even live in Shreveport. He's got a big arse house on Cross Lake in Blanchard that he says is he's wife's house. He's registered to vote a damn funeral home in Shreveport that his mom owned. And he says he's renting a house from his daughter while he builds a house in Shreveport.
The dumbass Republicans in this city are going to split the vote again and lose a runoff because they can never get behind one candidate. Tom Arcenaux will likely pull older white conservatives and Chavez will pull younger conservatives and maybe a few crossovers.

Shreveport hasn't had a republican mayor since Bo Williams in 98 and Hazel Beard before him. Likely never will again.

I think Arceneaux can garner sold moderate Democrat support given his long standing tenure in our local legal community. I don't know much about Chavez. I need to go back and watch the mayoral forum from last week.

I didn't watch it but I read a comment that said there were so many candidates nobody got more than like 2 topics.
I know Chavez has done several town hall forums and posted them to his Facebook. No idea on any of the others. I watched one that was like an hour long of him speaking and then taking questions.
