Tarver is far from perfect but he’s not ineffectual. He’s like the devil we know, in my opinion.

Tarver might be too effective and powerful, if that makes any sense.

Louisiana cities are plagued by ineffective idiots like Broome, Teedy, and Perkins.

Our only hope is someone like Greg Tarver, an old school and entrenched crooked Louisiana politician.

At least he knows what he’s doing, and he has friends and enemies all over the state and from both political parties. He’s a professional politician, instead of a nouveau progressive funded by outside interests and money.

Perkins has been such a failure. Like many, I was fooled by his impressive resume and the things he was saying during his campaign. He wasn't my first choice, but I voted for him because I assumed he would be the best choice out of the ones that could win. I was horribly wrong. He has been horrid.
You have balls to own it.

I saw this clown coming from a mile away. Military service, schooling, church membership, etc, none of that means jack shite yet means so much to so many voters.

His appeal was heard by 2nd Circuit Court of Appeal this morning, and the judgment was upheld. Next stop, State Supreme Court.

Really hope they uphold the lower court decisions. One of the local city counsel members was whining about how this should not be decided by the courts but by an election.

Well, he should have done the appropriate paperwork.

If you can’t do that, you shouldn’t be allowed to run a city.
