I think about 20% of states have made it legal. Some with full blown industries for it and others that for some reason decriminalize it but don’t reap any economic benefit. The entire west coast has legalized it almost and business is booming. Vegas is becoming even more popular because of legalization so imagine what New Orleans could do. Now you can’t walk around with a joint or consume in public but with edibles and vape pens that makes it easier.
It will be legalized everywhere one day. Alcohol was once illegal too. Some states will decriminalize it for a bit before making it an industry. Louisiana will be late to the party of course. New Orleans already has some new laws regarding small amounts and Baton Rouge is close to seeing such laws. Just puff puff pass them already.
Until then enjoy your vacations in places like Colorado, Napa, and Vegas where you can buy it every few blocks in many different forms.

I honestly don't care either way. The smell of weed is fricking rancid and you know a person who smokes when they are 5 yards away from you.
If you wanna smell like spoiled milk, go ahead.

I can't recall reading an article of someone being arrested for pot in Louisiana

I'm not sure if you've ever smelled weed before.

Edibles are the way to go. Discreet. Higher highs. No smell. Win for everyone. Hell they even make patches. You can buy weed for specific uses. Wanna watch a movie, go to a party, concert or sporting event? There are specific types just for each. Safer than Advil for pain relief.

It will be federally legalized long before Louisiana would ever get close to legalizing on its own.
Just patiently waiting on Sessions to get out. I think it will be an extremely swing topic next election cycle.

I never said it can't smell bad but all bad smells don't smell the same. Skunk, cat piss? Sure. Spoiled milk? Nope.

Yes but these backwards arse politicians cant figure out how to steal some of the money.

Wanting to legalize because its kinda dumb for it to be illegal is the only argument.
Thinking that the 'tax revenue' and less law enforcement/violent crime/etc...in Louisiana is just delusional.
How is that TOPS thing working out?
That gambling revenue has really solved all of Louisiana's problems hasn't it!!??

So, When everybody decides to grow 6 plants per adult this is going to save the state how?

First of all, completely forget about whatever tax implications there would be if Louisiana legalized pot. With the shite show political system we have in Louisiana we would never see any financial benefit from such a deal. But they will sure as shite sell it like that just like they did with gambling. and how it was going to save our failing schools in the 90's..
