Listen Tar-uh, we have to protect the club. The Mayans have been putting a lot of heat on black, and I don't want my sons to be anything like me

first off, you come off as an uneducated hater
second, motorbikes, just like cars, have to abide by sound regulations for exhaust, that's the law
third, this problem is about lack of enforcement and not lack of regulations about it
finally, I have ridden bikes for 45 years and I have never understood why some feel the need to have loud pipes on cars or bikes, I guess its about a need for attention.

It started with the OP and went downhill from there. No offense, but you come off as an elitist, ignorant, spiteful, petty, a-hole of a douchebag with this weak-assed, whiny thread of yours.
You can either get over yourself or go frick yourself. Doesn't matter either way to me.

I think they're stupid and the people that ride them suffer from small penises but I'm not in favor of outlawing stuff. We've banned too much shite as it is. Small government, not big government but ban the stuff I don't like.

Why is it "cool" to have a motorcycle that produces noise that is an annoyance to everyone? I don't get the cool factor of making your vehicle louder than it needs to be.

I've got standard Rinehart pipes on my Harley. My bike sounds fairly stock.
As to why it's "cool"? I don't know. You'll have to ask someone like my brother who buys $600 pipes to make their bike louder. I can't speak for him personal but I'd imagine he'd say he doesn't give a shite about you or what you think is cool.
That's just a guess.

I feel like he does care, though. What other reason is there to make your bike louder, if it's not to draw attention to yourself?

My wife worked for Harley Davidson and she said its not always a cool factor. It might be bullshite but she said some bikers feel safer with louder pipes so other drivers will pay attention to them on the road.

Well considering how many of them have their eyes on Facebook or texting, you've got to have some way to get their attention.

He doesn't give a shite yet he is vying for attention from a person whose opinion he doesn't value. Got it.

I'll be glad to get you in touch with him if you like. Y'all can talk it over face to face.

I don't know. Maybe he likes the way it sounds? Are you really that narcissistic to believe just because you don't like something, that means nobody else likes it either?

Who said he's wanting your attention? Knowing how my brother is, if he were to notice you looking at him going down the road, he'd probably flip you off. He's not the most social of people.

I still want to know if a Harley will start up if the rider isn't wearing a Harley t-shirt

Motorcycles have EPA/noise requirements just like cars. People choose to remove them(illegally). If you build a hotrod you aren't going to put on an exhaust system that makes it sound like a Camry. Just the way it is.
