My wife worked for Harley Davidson and she said its not always a cool factor. It might be bullshite but she said some bikers feel safer with louder pipes so other drivers will pay attention to them on the road

horse shite.

If you have to bother me to make your hobby safer, you're making it my problem. Find a new hobby. Wonder how many of these dildos would appreciate me driving around playing whatever music I feel like, at the same noise level as their piece of shite motorcycles.

So let me walk through your logic:
Eli - today is a beautiful day to be outside

Darth - I'm going to buzz this guy's house with my badass loud harley!

Eli - That should be against the law

Darth - you can't take away my right to annoy you!

Besides, noise laws exist...so some law makers have decided how much noise is too much.

It started with the OP and went downhill from there. No offense, but you come off as an elitist, ignorant, spiteful, petty, a-hole of a douchebag with this weak-assed, whiny thread of yours.

You can either get over yourself or go frick yourself. Doesn't matter either way to me.

Darth, you literally came into this thread full of butthurt....are you unable to just have a civil discussion without spewing all your anger and hate?

Man you really have some anger issues.

It is literally posted on the first page of the thread

I'll save you some time, it is illegal to modify exhaust systems in Louisiana

ETA: just so happens to be right on top of your post

What noise pollution laws do you think my stock sounding Harley-Davidson breaks?

FYI: Just because a sound annoys you doesn't mean it violates noise pollution laws.

I can hear loud motorcycles on the 10th floor of my office building sometimes.

I've never heard an 18 wheeler or pick-up truck.

shite, we can barely hear ambulances and cops with sirens on. That deep, loud rumble of aftermarket pipes on motorcycles are fricking ridiculous and should not be allowed. Regular pipes are plenty loud.

That is not being a "vag". It's just common courtesy.

I only replied in kind the OP. Guess you missed the anger & hate in his post though.

Because I'm debating an issue doesn't mean I'm angry. I guess you kids nowadays are such pussies and so afraid of confrontation that anytime someone disagrees wit you, you freak out about them being "angry and hateful".

The fact that you like loud harleys and 80s metal is a clear indicator that you're prone to aggressive behavior.

Why don't you debate that there's a law against modifying an exhaust to amplify the sound of a motor vehicle? I'll wait

I have regular pipes on my bike.

And I even get annoyed sometimes from overly loud pipes, especially those obnoxious ones on trucks that think it's cool to blow black smoke for some reason. But just because those annoy me, doesn't mean I'm enough of an a-hole to think they should be made illegal.

Because I don't live in Louisiana.

You do realize this message board goes past your state lines, right?

A similar law exists in Alabama, as it does in most states

There are already many existing laws against going out of your way to annoy/harass people.

You can't have muffler cutouts. Aftermarket pipes are perfectly legal in Alabama. And I imagine they're legal in Louisiana as well.

Aftermarket sure, aftermarket that amplifies sound? Nope. Reading is your friend
