Elevate it.

I don't see the one I use, but Turmeric plus black pepper to increase absorption (also called bioperine which I believe is a black pepper extract) is one of the few supplement I've tried that I see direct results and know it works. It's great for reducing inflammation. LINK

Is it possible that you have gout?

No, got x-rayed. It’s not gout.

I struggled with foot pain for a couple years, went to an orthopedist, did everything I could. He said he thought I pulled a tendon. My FIL insisted I had gout, but that’s for old fat dudes. I went to another orthopedist who specialized in foot and ankle issues, she did all her tests, and looked at me and asked if I had ever had gout. I said no. She said, I think you do.
I got some Hokas and some meds in case the pain came back. Minimum issues since.
ETA: Dr was from the Midwest and said she only saw a couple gout patients a year there, but she sees several a week in Nola. Food and booze we consume is a solid combo for it.
If interested- Dr Sara Galli. My old neighbor was one of the Pelicans team Drs and recommended I see her. She was great.

I tend to just ignore mine until it is better. I like the head in the sand approach and Advil.
Works with most of my injuries.

My old buddy who was in the army taught me a great trick for this years ago. The saw sprained ankles all the time in the bush so he knew.
What you do is, you get a length of hose and wrap it around the affected area. Make sure you can get water in the hose though and it has pressure.
Then, you turn the end of the hose up, aim it at your pussy, and you wash all the sand out of your vagina.
Instant cure.

Any redness, pain, and heat localized at the injury?
I overdid it a few months ago and my ankle and calf were red, hot to the touch, and painful beyond the capabilities of 800 mg of ibuprofen.
Turned out it was cellulitis that coincided with my ankle strain. PCP gave an antibiotic shot and ten days of oral antibiotics and told me cellulitis isn’t something to take lightly.

I just had this. Oral steroids. My dr said he wouldn’t do direct injection - risk of rupturing. Felt relief about 12 hours after first set or oral steroids. Finished the pack and I’ve been good. Played 54 holes of golf this weekend - no issue.
