People will talk about NYC being a shithole, yada yada, but this can happen in any big city.

South Louisiana baws who've never been above I-10 will use this as a reason never to leave home.

I'm heaading to NYC in a couple of weeks, will be riding the subway everyday. Not worried about shite like this.

Lol. The governor of New York and the mayor of NYC have brought National Guard troops onto the subway because of the crime. But you go ahead and keep thinking the subway is safe.

Was there over Thanksgiving. Rode the subway everywhere in Manhattan. Felt safe everywhere. Cops all over the place

These incidents seem to happen outside of the tourist areas

The city has an obligation to protects its residents from violent criminals, not just the tourists. They are failing to do this. Although tourists have also been affected, like the one who was shot in Times Square recently.

I wonder what caused the fight to start initially.

Based on who was involved, I’m going to say that I’ve got a good idea as to who started the whole fricking thing.

There’s a very very good chance that thug pos has been arrested numerous of times and let back out on the streets with no bail. It’s the Soros way.

Agreed. There's no way this isn't being done deliberately- from the catch and release "criminal justice system" to the increasing number of illegal unknowns being allowed in- to the desire of so many in govt to disarm the rest of us.

Keep your weapons and stay alert. "Something wicked, this way comes...."

Is this the first time in history that somebody brought a knife to a gun fight and won?

No they don't. If anything, they under report the crime surge taking place in the city.

Not sure, but might be the first time he who brings a gun to a knife fight gets both stabbed and shot.

Sounds like the guy carrying a gun thought that gave him license to run his mouth and engage in fisticuffs as though the gun was going to protect him from the consequences of his own actions.

Every guy I know that carries would be going out of his way to avoid conflict. Weird. I wonder if there are any differences between these two types of gun carriers that hasn’t been made known yet.

But hey guys, it's OK to fly domestic to your destination and your business trips. The police and the good citizens will make sure you stay safe.

Yeah fricking right. I'll continue to drive domestic even if it's 20 hours. I'm not walking around ant city on America without a firearm.

I went to the U.S. Open in September, stayed and walked all over midtown, and it seemed 100% normal -- like it was 2018.

Yep. Crime rates always drop when they aren't reported or prosecuted.

I'm in the City 2-4 times per week and take the subway. While it does "feel" worse than 5-10 years ago, I also do think there is an element of these things being blown out of proportion.
