Michael Taylor Jr., 29, told officers he was in his bed when he heard noises coming from his front door. He grabbed a firearm and shot through the door several times, striking the person on the other side, who happened to be his girlfriend.
Taylor said his girlfriend lives in Texas and he did not know she was coming into town. Taylor's dog, who was on the couch near the door, was also hit by a bullet during the incident.
Taylor was arrested for cruelty to animals, attempted second-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and illegal use of weapons.
Both Taylor's girlfriend and his dog received non-life-threatening injuries.

So baw was about to get some surprise nookie and instead ends up as a collar for several felonies and now has a girlfriend and a dog with bullet holes. Well done.

I lived in Tigerland from 1980 to 1983. Loved it. It was a great place back then. Now I wouldn’t go there without an armed guard.

For nostalgia, I drove through Tigerland about a month ago during the day. Thing I noticed was all the furniture out on curbs. Most people I know don't throw all of the furniture out when the move. Possibly, someone gets jailed, doesn't pay rent, and the landlord puts their crap on the curb.

El Cid 3....what happened to El Cid 1 and 2? Forgive my ignorance or is it just three units of El Cid apartments and each one has their own number?

The guy seems to be an idiot and/or on drugs. Fires at door because of noises without asking who it was, and besides shooting his own girlfriend (ex-girlfriend I hope) he somehow also shoots his own dog on his couch when aiming for the front door. He is also a convicted felon with a gun on top of everything else. The dog probably just stayed on then couch because he/she was smart enough to recognize it was the girlfriend.

This is not illegal. If someone is breaking into my home I have every right to shoot them through the door.

1 is down Burbank from the others.
2 and 3 are across Burbank from each other. 3 is at Burbank and Gourrier and is one block off campus. campus.

It was reported (by Channel 33) that the gun was stolen from a BR police officer.
