Can we just skip Tornado/Derecho season this year?

I had enough Sundays last year with the flying trees and shite.

My roof could use a decent hail storm right now.

Yeah the city literally last week just finished their run of trash/debris pick ups from the Preston hollow tornado. The area still looks like a war zone.

It is still duck season. Wait until the end of January and we will get a hard freeze across the US, and mallard will be piling out of the sky.

I was surprised at how widespread and significant the damage is in that area when I drove through over Christmas.

Yea, our severe outbreaks in south Louisiana usually come in February and March.

Yep. Mets started talking about the potential yesterday, and I had to look up the SPC. Seems to be they are gaining confidence with every update. We've had a pretty solid pattern going on the past month or so, and it appears to be continuing.

The fact that they had a risk highlighted yesterday for Day 7 is concerning.

But aren’t 7 day forecasts rather inaccurate and unpredictable?
