Gets a little edgy when he seems to reinitiate contact with the guy. He seems to become the aggressor in the last shot.

when you go at somebody, you put yourself at risk. Out of instinct people are going to protect themselves and when adrenaline starts pumping, somebody might take an extra shot or two.

Ok my 2 cents. Do we know if the first shot killed him? If it didn't who on this earth can say that the threat was over? The threat was over when he lost his pulse.
