You spend a couple hundred extra to look like a loser in a mediocre car and house who needs to keep up with the Joneses worse than he needs to enjoy zero financial stress. I drive a new truck but the douches driving around in $80,000 F250’s with their gay little costas with their Karen wives look worse than the 90% of “geeks” who just live normal lives

<--- guilty. I got a Denali a few weeks ago, and it's freaking sweet

Should people check with you before they spend their money?

It’s hard to find one in the higher trim lines that does not have the AT4 or Z71 package.

What is the point of these dumb arse threads? Rally all the poor people together to commiserate on the fact that they can’t drive whatever car the choose?

Also, what percentage of folks with 4x4 vehicles ever really use that capability? Maybe 10%?

This logic can be applied to nearly every vehicle on the road.

You drive what you want. I think you don't need anything more than a 3 wheel bicycle with a basket.

Leave soccer mom alone and mind your own damn business.

Bought my wife’s Yukon XL with 4x4 for the specific purpose of navigating Colorado in the winter.

Ol’ girl has gotten the family out of a bunch of bad situations…….

ETA: we go to CO a few times a year. Don’t live there.

61% of all new vehicles are all wheel drive. Don’t see why you would have a problem with that.

I drive a TRD 4Runner.

It’s simple and drives like a tractor……thirsty as frick too. BUT, I plan to pack serious miles on it.

So that AT4/Z71 badge separates the geeks from the alpha baws? Got it. Thanks for proving my point

Wut?

AWD is great to have in the rain

Yeah I don’t understand that take. AWD is actually pretty nice to have in south LA. Makes a noticeable difference on wet roads. In fact, I would argue that AWD is actually more useful than selectable 4WD for most Louisiana drivers.

Granted, we haven’t had a lot of wet roads lately…

Every single person i know with a 4x4 uses it often enough to be worth it. Idk how the hell you imagined up 10%.

A couple hundred a month? A brand new AT4 anything is well over $1000 a month. Even if you put down $20k your note still $1000 a month.
