At this point I’m pretty sure North Korea could take over this country riding in on some Bass Trackers and party barges right up into the New York harbor

It's simpler than that: all you have to do is walk into the Capitol building with a couple dozen other people and you now have overthrown the government like a game of capture the flag or king of the mountain

What are those guys doing and why do they not all have long guns? I would assume a reactionary force would all have long guns handy?
Even at our local HS football games there's usually an officer or two with an AR in a backpack sort of case. That just seems like common sense, you need more than a pistol not just because its a better weapon but for longer shots, better open air distance, etc.
