Have a secret santa gift exchange at work and need some recommendations/creative ideas. What would you get an electrical or mechanical engineer for less than $20? Don't really know this person (background is electrical + automation) so not trying to go for anything way out there.

Funny mouse pad. The one that says “fixing problems you don’t know you have in ways you don’t understand” is a favorite

I'd like another TI 36x pro calculator. I have one at home and I have the 30x at work...but another 36 would be nice...

Go to Touch of Modern. They have an app. You can find something for an engineer. But engineers are individually weird. I use to work with a Mechanical engineer who use to have a train club in which he and some buddies would go count the number of cars on trains.

A few other engineers I worked with were into some strange shite... And if you don't get them something that are not really into, you will be able to tell because they will have a confused look on their face like "this doesn't make sense".
