They seem to be thriving in Tampa, just upgraded to newer versions, actually. Only problem I've seen is people thinking it's funny to thrown them in the river, which is a problem anywhere you have water and public transportation like this.
Bikes in Amsterdam

Always wondered how they all get back to where they are supposed to be. i see them all over on game days. see them in the hay lot for almost every home game.

In Dallas they did bikes and scooters and it made the city more of a mess
Keep seeing this but no one explaining HOW, unless you guys just don't like to look at them?
They're easy enough to ignore.

We road them in downtown SLC all the way to University of Utah's campus. They were awesome and a quick way to see places.

My kid looked at signing up to pick them up here a couple of years back. Had an app, etc. He didn't do it though.

Because they get left on sidewalks and other walking paths, usually tipped over taking up a bunch of real estate that you have to navigate around. Since I know that won't be enough to satisfy you, think about someone in a wheelchair and what they're supposed to in that situation.

In Spain this will work because…….They are respectable and care, they go out of their way tp put paper in a trash can
Americans are lazy, disrespect able and do not give a frick. Especially this new Generation.

Walked campus a couple weeks ago. They were lying across sidewalks and in flowerbeds. Looked terrible and was a nuisance.

Here, they are owned by a private company. Each has a locator on them and there are employees who pick up and return any stray scooters. By and large however, those who use them, put them in the supplied racks they are supposed to go in.

I saw one on Burbank on the stretch near the new baseball complex Friday morning. That’s way on the other side of campus

We rode them constantly in Austin, they're required to be on the road surprisingly. We got yelled out numerous times for having them on the sidewalks cause we didn't feel comfortable having them in the midst of traffic

Good thing LSU has great roads

Most students aren't riding them on the roads, they're slinging through the quad and up sidewalks where pedestrian traffic already is. Just like bikes, they should only be on streets, but then the damned things would be lying in the street instead of across the sidewalks.
