Why do we repeatedly let the weather people and the schools do this to us???

Shutup, follow the science and do what the politicians tell you
They know whats best for us

You are out of line when you question professionals. Do people go to your workplace and start acting like they know how to do your job better than you?

Adults don’t want to work, kids don’t want to go to school

This is true. I am not a meteorologist.

What happened "to us" exactly?
Whats the big deal?

I remember when I was kid they didnt cancel school until the day before Katrina hit. Things sure have changed.
These spring thunderstorms are nothing new in south LA. I have a conspiracy theory that the deep state has somehow influenced school boards to cancel school at the slightest indication of bad weather. That way they can make their global warming BS feel more real by blaming the increase of school cancellations on CO2 pollution.

Schools are making the decisions. Teachers don't like working. Who knew?

I just looked outside and its raining for the first time today. Yeah its been a little windy.. But nothing to the point where its like "OMG they should have shut down all the roads!".
When it comes to safety I know you can never be too safe, but this is one of those situations that you have to think about.
I don't know at all, but if someone asked me where is it safer for kids to be.. At school or at home when a tornado hits?
I would assume they would be safer in a school building than at home.. Right?
There really needs to be some data behind these decisions.

An abundance of lawyers and lawsuits. That’s what changed.

what lawsuits? any examples of schools being sued over weather?

Weather and schools are the least reliable things in our society

If you go to a real school, they cancelled after school activities, but had regular classes all the way up to closing time at 3pm.
And by real school, I mean not Rummel.
