Very true. I guess this is another problem we can blame on the scumbag injury attorneys. I certainly dont wish for tornadoes, but if we do have one today, I hope it takes out a few “GET GORDON GET IT DONE” billboards

You don’t think if a tornado hits a school that kept kids in class with this kind of approaching system that there wouldn’t be a feast for Gordon and company?
I assure you it’s the liability that is the concern.

Yeah its been a little windy.. But nothing to the point where its like "OMG they should have shut down all the roads!".

Doesn't have to get to the point of roads shutting down. School buses can't run safely when sustained winds reach 30mph and gusts reach 40mph.

Do you really have a choice if your kid attends school?

Plus take a look at the Moore, OK tornado in 2013, seven children died at an elementary school - not sure of that has any influence

It’s not just school, it’s busing the students. EBR uses the same buses for HS, Middle, and elementary students. So they must stagger the start and dismissal. Half day means students will be on buses to 2:30-3pm. Considering it he weather hit at 4 I’m sure that’s to close for comfort. But how about this, half day on these days and no busing for the day? Everyone must provide their own transportation and by charge 25 dollars for every 30min late for pickup. Does that work for you?

You’re still naïve and lazy. Go do your own research.

The rest of us have common sense that you seem to lack. Go do some research and let us know what you find

Those same pictures can be at someone's house. You do not have a point. A tornado can happen anywhere. Typical overreaction.

Whats the big deal?

Half of society shuts down. Half of society keeps working.

If you’re in the second half and your kid’s school is part of that first half, you have to make last minute arrangements to depart work early and leave everyone in the lurch. What if you’re hourly? You don't get paid. Try that on for size, Junior.

Plus many are paying tuition for classes that aren’t being held. They don’t get refunds.

One lawsuit from 2013 that settled for less than $100k?

Are you upset that everyone else has common sense and agrees with me and disagrees with you?
Can’t help you with this.
