My 8 year old son isn’t too great in school. C average. I want him to go to college but nothing wrong with his current interests.
Police officer, fire fighter, aircraft mechanic.....
They require minimal technical school if any at all.
The next generation will call us stupid because we and our parents put so much value on college education and it isn’t getting the average BS or BA anywhere.

Oh thanks. THIS WHOLE frickING TIME I THOUGHT YOU WERE THE frickING TEACHER. Never is it a response that they try to pay extra attention to the kid, try to make sure this kid is grasping something or following along. NEVER.
If you want to have a truly educated child you have to be involved in their development at home. If not, you'll end up with some trash arse son who will get his GED and dream of working on an oil rig because the kids whose parents actually cared about their education are the ones sitting in offices telling him he's hired and fired after 3 years

The horror of making parents assist in their child’s education! Truly awful!
What do you want teachers to do? They only have so much time with any given class. Do you expect them to spend that time playing catch-up with one student and ignore the needs of the rest of the class?
