Too bad it will be limited to 70 and it will try to pass another big rig that's going 69.5. Diesel or electric, there will still be a rolling road block for miles.

They’ll produce about 350 of ‘em by 2030...if everything goes right

The level of rage I feel when I see this I’m surprised I don’t start shooting force lightning or some shite.

Every competitor will beat them to market. And do so at a lower price and with better quality.

But I can’t wait for autonomous big rigs to replace a lot of shitty truck drivers.

Sounds like gear whine, which it is. Turbo whine sounds much better.

I'd take a Nikola One over a Tesla any day. Much better technology, actual implementation, and the owner isn't a gigantic douche

That's the beauty of electric drive, can use electro-dynamic braking by having the drive motor act as a generator and dump energy back into the battery, stopping the truck and charging the battery with energy that would normally be lost as heat with normal friction brakes.

Taking “reservations” to hold your spot. Only $50,000. Make checks payable to Elon Musk.

Problem is that range plummets in cold weather. These will be good trucks for companies that need things hauled relatively short distances in temperate climates.
