It’s Father’s Day, baws. We all got our drawers twisted up yesterday over the single mom memes. Let’s go positive.

Say good things about your Dad.

My dad was a country boy from a speck of nowhere, but whip smart. He never forgot anyone’s name, and he was the most honest person I ever met.

Go . . . .

My dad worked and still works tirelessly for over 45 years to provide for his family. He is far from perfect, but I’ll take my dad over anyone else’s.

He provided for his children. Worked multiple jobs to do so. Growing up I seen him go without things just to feed and educate us. He was very hard on us but sometimes late at night I’d walk into the living room and find him crying while watching things like the Jerry Lewis telethon.

My dad is an unkind grumpy a-hole.

But he taught me hard work and was at every sporting event I ever had. Never said good job or I love you... but always there.

A story to how I feel about my dad... when I was 9, he and my mom were out for a walk. A bunch of adults (that I know) showed up at my house randomly without them there just to talk to us. Then my dad walked in covered in blood. My mom has been hit by our neighbors teenage daughter when she looked down.

She was declared dead, recesitated, and placed into a coma for 6 months and came out.

In all that time my dad never once held a grudge against our neighbors and I distinctly remember him cussing out lawyers that came by and tried to get us to sue them. Taught me a lot about personality responsibility and forgiveness.

Mine is one of the hardest working people I’ve ever met. Works night shift at fedex and comes home and sleeps a couple of hours then goes to do his bulldozer or tractor jobs he has all while managing a lawn service crew as well.
Gone all day. Eat supper at 5 pm. Sleep for a couple of hours and do it all over again.

He was strict but fair . I’ll never be a quarter of the man he is. And I look just like him. Growing up, adults would call me my dads name and say I was His spitting image.

Growing up I hated being called my dads’ name but now that I’m an adult it’s the best compliment I could receive

My dad is a damn good cook and he's an amazing human being. He is not my birth father but adopted me without hesitation when I was 6.

Dad worked his arse off and never complained about it. He provided for his family and sacrificed his needs for the rest of us.

He was a great fisherman, which was his passion.
