Saw this Q asked: if 9/11 and cv19 are 2 biggest events of your life, what is third?

This question was asked on twitter and it started a huge conversation.
I actually don't think CV19 is necessarily ahead of any of these events, but here are some that come to mind
fall of berlin wall/fall of communism in eastern europe
OJ trial
2000 election and aftermath
Iraq War
Katrina
financial crash of 2008, specifically that infamous saturday
2008 election
2016 election
An answer that might surprise a lot of younger people that many older people might say: the columbine shooting. It was a much much bigger story than any recent school shootings because it was something the country was so unfamiliar with.
Most people are putting 9/11 and cv19 as 1 and 2......but third place has lots of debate.

Oh, right, I need to add that. Obviously that will be number one answer on here.

It’s obvious I sometimes forget this is a Louisiana board, so it turns out I skipped some crucial events that affected Louisiana
Sorry about that

Getting married and having a son. Nothing else even comes close.
So third... yeah 9/11.

It hasn't happened yet. The big reveal of alien contact. Nothing else will be close.

What happened "that Saturday"?
Personally, the economic downturn of the late 00's didn't affect me too much. Thankfully.
To answer your question, of course there are specific events that are major to some, but not really on the radar for others.
I see you didn't mention either of the disastrous tsunamis of the past 15 or so years. Those both affected much more than Katrina did. But just not around here

2003 invasion for me. It might even be the first, pesrsonally.

This doesn’t even register compared to Katrina and 9/11.
This is just politicians overreacting to play up their legacies.

Saints winning Super Bowl XLIV before both of those.
I prefer to mark the biggest event of my life in positives.
