FTR I'm generally not type person who worries about what other people choose to wear but this made me think , I've been to 100 funerals over past 20-30 yrs and I'm not sure I've ever seen this.
Appropriate?
Not appropriate?
I'm leaning towards not.
I wouldn't anyways.
What says OT?

Attention whorish is what it is. If he owns a seersucker suit and not anything else, then he's a jackass.

I hate seersucker and I guess it's fine. At least it's a suit and not jeans and a t-shirt.

it's ok as long as the deceased isn't offended.

Not appropriate in March. Totally appropriate from June to September.

it depends on who died, to be honest.
we had a friend's husband who died (probably in his late 50s, early 60s) and she requested that everyone wear the most colorful outfit that they could find because that's how he dressed.
that's obviously not the norm.

Not the right setting nor the right time of year.

Since when do people have funerals on a Sunday?

Well for starters, it's not even Easter yet. Major faux pas.
That's more egregious than the fact that a seersucker is a bit too casual for a funeral

Yeah, if the guy who is being buried was a complete character, they may have been touched by this.

That’s a lot of funerals? Do you drive a hearse for a living?

I've seen people wear worse but seersucker shouldn't be worn until after Easter I believe and not at a funeral. No one really follows those rules anymore. I have one and have only worn it 3-4 times. Mostly to summer weddings.

I'm wearing seersucker right now at work. Fight me.

I don't even think I've been to 50 in my whole life and I used to be an altar server at weekday funerals in middle school.
