Yet, you’re on here posting.
Yeah because the FBI released a video last night of a guy dressed like the Riddler breaking in to her house
Did you not read the next sentence saying I was being a hypocrite or do bimbos not have reading comprehension?

What are the thoughts on why TMZ, of all places, is receiving these ransom notes? And how are they being delivered? Sending them directly to the FBI or police would make more sense, if they're real.

For starters, they don't proffer stupid explanations AND are the only ones reporting on what the note actually says. CNN/Fox/NBC all have their self proclaimed experts on discussing their view of what the note could say.
WE WANT YOUR HELP! But we won't release shite to the public for them to parse through.

This thread is 57 pages of white women?
Ouch. That's gonna leave a mark.

Bc they are the only ones, outside of 2 local new stations that have received the note and have seen it
Everyone else is assuming what it says and trying to piece together the cryptic drops TMZ is putting out about it.

Release the hounds and show us the notes or don't be begging for help.

I mean why send it to them in the first place. It's the equivalent of sending it to People Magazine.

This case is weird af and is gonna make for a good Dateline.

Without a subscription it records over itself every 24 hours. This guy ripping off the camera made it stop recording so the last recorded footage is of him doing it. If he would’ve just left it up it would’ve recorded over it.

it’s not surprising, “Nancy Grace” is probably the pioneer of it. I didn’t really ever care about the Jon Bennet Ramsay story or the Florida one where she killed the kid and the parents covered it up.
Middle aged white women eat that shite up. Hypocritical I’m posting here maybe, but it caught my eye. Now you’ve got “influencers” trying to monetize it like “True Crime Mama”
It’s about clicks
I think we call it "capitalism" and we generally consider capitalism to be a good thing, or at least better than the alternatives.
If "True Crime Mama" can earn a living off other middle aged white women, is that somehow bad?

The FBI was able to get google to back end into the security camera.
We have to have all of these giant data centers to save all ring cam footage, texts and phone conversations. Muh Patriot Act.
Google seen some shite

I'd argue that millions of women having sensationalized rape and murder as their chief hobby probably isn't great

The data from the camera is still sent to the provider and processed on their end. If you have a subscription it saves the file in your account. If you don't have a subscription it erases/overwrites after a certain period of time.
Your subscription allows you to access saved data. If you don't subscribe, you can't access it, but the data is still there.

You've figured it out, and people have willingly invited it into every aspect of their lives — even pay good money for the luxury.

You could extend that logic to millions of men who spend all day Saturday and Sunday watching sports.
The same logic applies to anyone who does anything unproductive during their leisure time.
But there are people who are smart enough to figure out ways to make money off those non-productive people.

what's really fricking crazy is my blink system now tells me details of the motion everytime it picks up stuff. black cat walking down driveway. child with a baseball bat walking into garage. etc etc.
What would it have said in this case? “Motion detected but you really don’t wanna know what it is.”

Yeah, TMZ and People are known for their celebrity tabloid fluff, but TMZ has broken some big stories, and both have done reputable investigative journalism on high-profile cases.
Whether the notes are legit or not, if the sender wants them seen and known about, TMZ is going to get the information out there quicker than just about anybody.

After all the happenings yesterday, it seems dead quiet today.
Posted on 2/11/26 at 11:51 am to nvasil1
Agreed. And if their goal was to put public pressure on the family to get them to pay then that’s the way to do it.

I guess, but I think celebrating competition and athleticism at elite levels (even acknowledging it's not all as pure as that) is objectively healthier than obsessing over criminality in a weird romanticized/enthralled way.
But of course I agree about the figuring out how to make money. But, nothing wrong with capitalists saying "hey, I think it's broadly bad to do so."
