Savannah Bananas are Appropriating Black Culture From the Harlem Globetrotters

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately and I really think we need to have an honest conversation about it. The Harlem Globetrotters spent decades pioneering that entire style of athletic entertainment the ball handling tricks, the showmanship, the dancing, the crowd interaction, and turning the game into a full spectacle. That was Black creativity and excellence at its finest. Now the Savannah Bananas have taken that exact formula, repackaged it with a bunch of young white guys in tight pants doing the same routines for big crowds, and everyone acts like it’s some groundbreaking new thing. It feels like clear cultural appropriation, especially when traditional baseball the one so many of us grew up loving and that our kids play in travel ball gets pushed aside for this clown show version. I’m not sure why there’s zero pushback on this. Real baseball is about fundamentals, competition, and developing young athletes like our travel ball youth, not turning the sport into a TikTok dance party with props and gimmicks. At what point do we call this out instead of just selling $50 tickets to it? Serious question.

Why was it "creative" and "excellent" when blacks did it - but now it's a "clown show" when whites do it? If you were honest, you'd say it was a "clown show" when blacks did it. Or you'd say it's "excellent" when whites do it.

Jews owned the Globetrotters
Its pure Bill Veck and ol time town baseball .. turned into a very profitable mostly white fan-focused, family-friendly way for mostly white Travel Ball parents to get some return on investment
invested with the jews then the World is ours
but small local baseball is making a retun Texas has a new summer league for collage players not Cape Cop not even close,, but theres a market for it locally an abundence of baseball talent and MLB is never gonna happen,, theres the willing pysical investment
But this stuff like Savannah Bananas and all the teams like them the tailgaters the clowns all that's just creating work for these kids it's a good business model .. its barnstomer baseball 2025,, there are empty stadiums ,, its like Monster truks wrasslin and baseball all in one
white kids were doing these baseball tricks in the 1900s. 19 teens and that just where blacks, learned it
because they weren't allowed to play baseball in public, esp in rural America, in those days

watching farm bred whites boys doing these tricks, when a barstormin' team came through town
and they took it to basketball
