Get multiple quotes. Talk to the contractors, if prices are close then hire the one you feel most comfortable with.

Did the previous owner not have the title in hand? If you are picking up a title with the previous owner’s name on it, that will have to be signed and notarized. That old title is turned in and you will get your new title in a few weeks.
