quote:
San Francisco International Airport will ban the sale of single-use water bottles this month in an effort to reduce its carbon footprint.
quote:
Plastic water bottles will be removed from airport restaurants, cafes and vending machines. In their place, travelers can buy metal or glass ones.
quote:
Approximately 4 million water bottles are sold each year at the airport.
*so does transporting glass and mining for metal not create carbon footprints as well?
*glass bottles can be used by bad guys
Dumbasses at their best and the people who cannot afford to live there will move to Texas and other places and push for this type of stupid agenda that failed them in the first place.

What about soft drinks?
So now people drink soft drinks as opposed to water. Good job wackos.

But many soft drinks and juices and teas, etc....are also in plastic bottles.

Plastic bottles are a bigger pollutant than thousands of planes taking off/landing every day at that airport?

No, but banning plastic bottles “feels right”.

You don't know how this works. You are supposed to be happy they are being proactive... And not ask any questions.

I have no problem with this. And I don’t see how people in this thread are. At all.

I understand your feelings completely. And if you need any help moving out there to the city that allows people to shite on the sidewalk let me know.
Dumbass fruitcake.

Only mouthbreathers think encouraging lazy fricks to use reusable drinking containers and shopping bags is a bad thing.

So encouraging people to use reusable bottles automatically means you need to go slummin' in San Fran?
Some of y'all are too damn dramatic for your own good.

Posted on 8/3/19 at 10:51 am to LCA131
I would never ever live in San Francisco or even visit probably. But that has nothing to do with them having a good idea. frick promoting waste. Wanna be fake arse conservatives on here are the ones complaining about this

Or we are just screwing around on a message boards.
I could NOT CARE LESS whether or not San Francisco does this or whether Athens thinks it's a good idea.
However, I do care what you think about my posting, so please be nice and like me.

Here is my question though
How much more expensive are the metal and glass bottles of water? And how silly is it that you will be reaching for the metal and glass bottles of water...next to the dozens of plastic bottles still there containing other types of beverages?
You can't bring a bottle of water with you cause it will be confiscated at TSA. So you are forced to buy water in the airport after security.
I mean..you could just pack a reusable water bottle and fill up at a water fountain in the airport. But does SF have good tap water?
