Here is my question though

How much more expensive are the metal and glass bottles of water? And how silly is it that you will be reaching for the metal and glass bottles of water...next to the dozens of plastic bottles still there containing other types of beverages?

You can't bring a bottle of water with you cause it will be confiscated at TSA. So you are forced to buy water in the airport after security.

I mean..you could just pack a reusable water bottle and fill up at a water fountain in the airport. But does SF have good tap water?

Nurse, STOP THINKING. Be more emotional and you'll understand them better.

It’s supposed to be more expensive, or at least less convenient to encourage people to use reusable bottles

This ain’t rocket science

I always do this anyway. Most airports have filtered water stations.

You're right, theres plastic bottles of soda instead.

So people in a pinch will buy a soda, pour it out and fill the empty plastic bottle with water to drink before their flight.

I can't speak for their tap water, but I didn't have any issue getting water at one of the restaurants the last time I flew for my tumbler.

Again, cans.

And they make cans of water too.

And traveling with reusable water bottles is very normal. Weird thing for this board to have an issue with.

Yet another example of FEEL GOOD bullshite taking the place of logic and actually doing something substantive about the sated aim.

These people would rather feel good about themselves than anything. Matter of fact, I’d argue that if there was no FEEL GOOD in it, they wouldn’t do anything about it at all.

They are completely full of ever lovin’ shite.

I doubt that will happen.

I could see the airport shops stocking the hell out of reusable water bottles though that can be purchased.

That's good. I've just been conditioned now to not trust tap water

AZ has horrible tap water.

San Francisco has a pretty nice airport and is generally regarded as the most weed friendly for departures.

There's some serious mental gymnastics in this statement when you can:

- Just bring a tumbler and fill it up at a fountain.
- Buy a water with ice from one of the many places you can eat in an airport (hell even a damn Starbucks).
- Buy water in a can (that will likely be stocked in this situation).
