Watch the video.

Just answer the question and move along moron. No need to hold up other traffic just trying to get where they are going. No need to make the border patrol guys jobs harder just so you can score SJW points with your fish eating friends. People like this woman need a good butt whipping.

Didn't watch the video but the screen cap posted on the site looked to me that she might be a legit WYHI.

If she wanted attention, she can post some topless pics. Less people would be pissed off.

Also, why were they already recording before they pulled up to the officer?

This wasn't a border crossing. I think her point was that she shouldn't have to identify herself as a citizen at a checkpoint inside the country.

There's a nice and clean solution to border patrol checkpoints: build the wall.

Many around here are too dense to understand laws, case law, and the Constitution.

Yeah well when you put it that way.. I still agree with the agents , and to me it isn't a lot different that being asked for license and registration; except the consequences of getting caught if she was an illegal alien

Yeah, that is an attention seeker. Not sure why people won't answer a simple question, especially when they know that will let them pass. Morons.

Except the fact that one is required by law, is a condition of driving, and requires reasonable suspicion of a crime afoot.

None of which were the case here.

I don't even think the Border Patrol is allowed to require you to hand over "papers" proving citizenship. I think they're only allowed to ask.

If you refuse to answer, they are allowed to detain you until your citizenship is determined.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

“So if I just come through and say, ‘Yes, I’m a citizen,’ I can just go ahead?” Parmely asked.

“If the agent is justified by the answer, then yes,” the agent responded.

“So if I have an accent, and I’m brown, can I just say, ‘Yes,’ and go ahead or do I have to prove it?” she asked.

Yeah, I gotta agree with her here. Most people here love the second amendment but I'm a much bigger fan of the fourth.

I hate Terry stops and my biggest professional goal is to take a case to the Supreme Court to overturn K9's being used to establish probable cause for a vehicle search.

I see nothing wrong with what she did. How she did it needs some work, though.

Long established Federal Law that you are subject to questioning within 25 miles of the Border as if you are at the Border. This was instituted because there are crossings at places where the terrain is not conducive to placing an Immigration Checkpoint thus the actual point is inside the US. But frick her for not bothering to find that out.

ETA. Story says 100 miles but I think it is actually 25.

It would be like being asked to produce lisc and registration while riding a bus, big difference.

they don't want to pass. They want a video of them getting harassed that will go viral and make them look like heroes in the SJW community
