Just answer the question and move along moron. No need to hold up other traffic just trying to get where they are going. No need to make the border patrol guys jobs harder just so you can score SJW points with your fish eating friends. People like this woman need a good butt whipping.

This wasn't a border crossing. I think her point was that she shouldn't have to identify herself as a citizen at a checkpoint inside the country.

Except the fact that one is required by law, is a condition of driving, and requires reasonable suspicion of a crime afoot.

I don't even think the Border Patrol is allowed to require you to hand over "papers" proving citizenship. I think they're only allowed to ask.
If you refuse to answer, they are allowed to detain you until your citizenship is determined.

Yeah, I gotta agree with her here. Most people here love the second amendment but I'm a much bigger fan of the fourth.

Long established Federal Law that you are subject to questioning within 25 miles of the Border as if you are at the Border. This was instituted because there are crossings at places where the terrain is not conducive to placing an Immigration Checkpoint thus the actual point is inside the US. But frick her for not bothering to find that out.
ETA. Story says 100 miles but I think it is actually 25.
