If you download the Sam's app...you can "Scan and Go" and you never have to wait at check out again. One of the greatest apps ever. Changes your whole experience.

It honestly does.
The downside is that, best I can tell, there seems to be no way to apply your rewards to the purchase online but, IMHO, that is a trade off for not having to spend an hour in line.

Sams club now accepts food stamps. If you go at the beginning of the month they are completely wiped out but other than that it is great.

This. I start singing Bone songs while walking around early in the month because it looks like fricking piranhas have gotten half the store.

considering joining and starting to do my grocery shopping there. anyone have reviews?
Annual membership fee for buying the same shite walmart sells for the same amount of money and don't have a cover charge at the door.
We have Sams and Costco...and I haven't set foot in either in years. My wife goes to one or the other a couple of times a year because she is crazy like that. Used to be you could get good prices on tires and some electronics and they'd have some pretty need food that was unique but it aint that way no more in my experience...

It’s like Costco without all the lgbt food, masks, and muslims

And minus a fantastic liquor store

Sams has frozen Chick-fil-a chicken nuggets, Costco does not.
I am a Costco member, but willing to barter with Sam's members for chicken nuggies.

Hate having to wait in line at Costco but it moves fast , just wish they hadthe same technology

unless you have a family, there is no point grocery shopping in bulk
Disagree. It's just my wife and I and we have both a costco and Sam's membership.
It's nice to only have to buy certain things a few times a year at most. And I smoke/grill a large chunk of protein every sunday for my lunches each week. Way more cost effective to buy from Costco/Sams.

I have been members of both Sam's and Costco. I like Costco better, but there isn't one close to my house.
The key with either is to not get carried away buying stuff you wouldn't normally buy. You'll end up wasting alot and negate is cost benefit.
Most of the members mark (Sam's brand) stuff is pretty good. Their TP and paper towels are very good.

Skip Groupon.
Google "sam's club new membership deal"
It should pull up a $45 membership with $45 off your first purchase link.

Right now, Sam's has a deal that if you join, you get a gift card for the cost of your membership. Basically, it's free... Even if you don't use it often, you'll at least spend the $35 or whatever

The best thing about Sam's is the scan to go app. Once you sign up, you can use your phone to scan items as you shop, you pay on your phone and walk out the door.

The Scan and Go app is one of the greatest shopping inventions ever. But most people are either too lazy or don't know about it.
Also, if you plan to buy a lot through them get the Plus membership. Free shipping and cash back. Last year I paid $100 for the membership and got $95 cash back.
