500k is NOTHING in todays worlds and as someone said, the lawyer gets close to 200k then she has to pay taxes on the whole 500k so she might be left with around 200k herself when its all said and done.

She is exactly who a hospital wants to employ. The cop on the other hand...
I tend to be neutral about cops but would revert to my pro cop stance of my childhood IF they would roast the bad cops instead of near uniformly drawing the blue line around them. If cops were known for strict discipline within their ranks there would not be so much national negative attention which would actually help them be much more effective at their task.
