I explained to them that we are in the eye right now and that phase 2 is coming up. The woman then told her husband, “well we probably need to just get in our car and leave now then”.
And that’s when you let natural selection do its work.

Any updates from the Navarre area?
Got a friend there and he says they are doing pretty good. Windy, flooding, not in home. Couple trees down around the area, but not any major damage that he knows of at this time.

anyone have an idea of what the area around Grand Pointe/Perdido Pass looks like?

Trying to explain to non gulf coast folks that going down for their scheduled beach trip to Perdido on Saturday might not be in cards. They said the water should be gone by then...

It’s already got its own thread.

I’m down at Portofino and the wind and rain are still raging. Starting to slow a bit, but impossible to walk outside. High tide is in about an hour with a pretty good surge right now...I’m hearing 5-8 feet.

We're at ocean breeze east right now.. where you got them rental properties?

Yea Pensacola and Pensacola Beach are definitely taking the worst of the surge

Yeah but moreso, it’s going to be the flooding they’ll have to go through to get there and the obvious lack of resources strained, groceries, restaurants. I don’t know. Told them they should probably try to look at going further East towards 30A if they don’t want to reschedule. I could be wrong but that’s my impression thus far.
