Hot take: It’s none of our business. Ukraine isn’t NATO (Article 5 doesn’t apply) and we are not the world’s police force.

Except we signed a treaty with Ukraine and Russia. Ukraine gave up the old soviet nukes that were in the borders; Russia and the US respected its boundaries.

this is as good as its ever going to get if you want to buffer NATO off your boarder and get the old soviet union back.

All things considered, Biden not intervening is a good thing.

Let’s go, Brandon.

Russia takes Crimea under “Empty Suit O” and now the rest of Ukraine after rapey/racist gropey Joe.

Yet they impeach Trump for being a Russia puppet?

We are doing nothing about China killing millions and will do nothing about Russia again. Biden already sending Putin a message that after re-election he will be free to help more.

Texas, conservatives, and white Christians across the country are just far more dangerous than China and Russia and must be dealt with like Stalin dealt with his political enemies. Only then can all lives matter.

Do we depend on Russia or Ukraine for any imports of value? If not stay the hell out of it. We are targeted by terrorists and other radicals simply due to the fact that we can't stop meddling in other people's shite.

This is what I was trying to recall.

Basically, it will come down to this:
Will US keep its word?

The answer is no. Biden is a bitch.

They'll blitzkrieg it. No one will be fast enough to respond.

Is it really going to happen this time? People have been posting about this imminent invasion for a month now.

Not sure why but I'm having a hard time feeling this one. It's probably more likely than not that at least something limited happens but I'm missing the driving motivation behind this at this time. And this decision won't be made in a vacuum. Beijing Olympics are coming up.

Russia is motivated by what they have always been motivated by. They simply want as much space between them and the people they feel threatened by, the west. They dont want Ukraine to join NATO because they dont want NATO military shite literally right on their doorstep

I kinda makes sense. We were on the verge of starting world war 3 when the Soviets did it to us in Cuba

The United States was part of a coup in 2014 that overthrew the democratically elected Yanukovych regime. That sparked a civil war, a Russian invasion and a secession referendum in Crimea. As is usually the case, this heightened conflict can be directly traced to one place: the hallways of Langley, Virginia.

What was the purpose of this on our end?

There’s nothing wrong with making it our business from a diplomatic stand point and standing up for smaller countries from large dictatorial regimes invading them.

That’s different than making it our business militarily. Which we shouldn’t.
