Y'all brought it on yourselves by not listening to them, you'll be punished like the petulant children that you are.

You’re not from here, so you don’t “get it”. No one lives in Louisiana by accident. The overwhelming majority of people living in Louisiana have family here dating back 4, 5, 6, 7 generations or more, and often live in the same general area their ancestors first settled in.

As a result, the whole of South Louisiana is effectively one giant small town where everyone is related and everyone knows everyone else.

So, it is absolutely not surprising that the OT, where the bulk of the frequent posters are similar in age to many people in the LSU Athletic Department and state government, and whom the majority of which live in and around Baton Rouge would have sources for gossip within these bureaucracies.

Throw in the anonymous message board environment, and you have a recipe for the spread of all kinds of court rumors.

anonymous sourcing is awful. It ruins the credibility of journalism.

For example, even many left wing pundits said the Atlantic shouldn't have published the "losers and suckers" trump story without at least one person going on the record. Certain things are just too big to hide behind anonymity.

Even brian stelter called on atlanic to release a name.

Counter point.

Every journalist wants to be the next Walter Cronkite. This has lead to sensationalism over journalism where instead of just telling the news they try to appease the higher ups for better name recognition and more rewards and fame. The use of “anonymous sources” is nothing but a sensationalist way to assume without taking responsibility in order to cut through the masses and differentiate oneself from every other journalist

And the wrong information outpaced correct information 10:1. If everyone is throwing shite against the wall, it's safer.

But to just drop something like this out of the blue? Again, I'm not saying it would never happen, but anyone with half a brain would know better. The risk/reward just doesn't make sense.

Source: Billy Lee Tuttle.

Government position: Senator Edwin Tuttle's cousin.

Edit: But for reals, La be small yeard meh. Everyone really does know/related to someone involved with politics. It's inevitable. As far as phase 1, he wouldn't dare.
