For a board that complains about taxes and inspection tags, I can't believe yall are fine with them charging to tie a chicken neck to a string

I got a ticket in like 2009 for crabbing on side of the road in Pointe-aux-Chenes for not having a fishing license.

So it wasn’t a thing and green jeans was fricking with me?
Were you on the WMA? You’ve always needed to have a license to be on WMA’s.

always thought you needed a license. Was that only for state property like refuges?

You needed a saltwater license before. At least you did in 2019. You’ve needed a license to crab for a good while. Refuge or no refuge.

Better have GEICO insurance too, if you plan to give those crabs to anyone in your car.

I always thought you needed a salt water license to catch crab. Anyway. If I read correctly if you have a basic fresh and salt your good to crab

Pretty sure George Washington had one when he crossed the Delaware. You people are so conditioned to tyranny that you can’t even imagine life without it. Not only are we allowing the state to license a right back to us, we fricking pay them for it. Amazing.

I just always assumed you need a license for crabbing anywhere.

The shocker for me after catching snakes for 50 years was that I needed a fishing license to catch reptiles and amphibians.

it is going to be a $5 license, but the 12 dozen crabs a day isn’t going away,” LDWF undersecretary Bryan McClinton said.

McClinton said this change was made so the fisheries office could have better record of how many people participate and their impact on the crab population.

How can they have any idea what the impact is if there is no reporting system, leaving no idea how many crabs these oad fishing people catch? So saying they want this to gauge the impact is a lie. They thought of another fee that they can implement. It is just a money grab.

You don't need a license, you need your head examined

Just kidding, I know you like your snakes

drivers license or state issued ID isn’t free and we require that to exercise our right to vote. Get your panties out of a bunch. It’s five dollars to pull a limited resource out of the water. You’ll live.

It's just raising the age to 21 to buy firearms they'll stop there!

It's just banning bump stocks they'll stop there!

It's just a small limit on red fish and speckled trout, they'll stop there!

It's just a small fee for a license they'll stop there!

It's just one transgender in one sport, they'll stop there!

See how this works yet?

I am "whining" about the principle and more Government control of things that don't need to be andor shouldn't be controlled.

Each response here blows my mind more and more on how ignorant certain people can be. I don’t understand how people can be this way. I legit don’t get it.

Their answer to everything is already predetermined. There’s zero new knowledge or contemplation entering those brains.

Imagine supporting conservation in your state monetarily. Crazy.
