Probably shouldn’t let civil litigation attorneys handle your criminal defense kid.

I'd venture to guess they won't be the only attorneys involved.

Just as an FYI, this is high profile defense 101. Retain high profile attorneys to face the press and handle all that nonsense. Some attorney that you’ve never heard of, and likely will never hear of, from Wisconsin is actually going to do the heavy lifting.

I would be shocked to find out there wasn't two sets of teams, one Civil one Criminal.

This is the crux of it for me.

I'd bet he's already calling Mark O'Mara for the defense

So from watching the videos the shooting appears completely justified in a vacuum. No doubt the kid feared for his life. My question for anyone who may know is will there be any legal ramifications for crossing State lines or anything like that? I recall reading that he was from Illinois and went to Wisconsin, even if it's only a 20 minute drive will that play any kind of factor?

No. The "crossed state lines" drum that the left is beating for some odd reason is completely irrelevant.

This is slightly off-topic but I heard some CNN dipshit bashing Sandmann the other day, live and wondered if the settlement included a mutual non-disparagement clause. Would be an eternal font of cash if so.

One primary problem is that he went out on the street with a loaded AR to make some undefined political stand by making a show that he could kill people. That created a charged situation which led to the two shootings.

Ask yourself this. If he had not taken the AR out, would any confrontation have occurred? Of course not. Also consider that he had the look and presentation of a mass shooter. If you are in mass and Rittenhouse walked in looking exactly as he did that night, what would you reasonably assume? Probably that he is there to kill people. You may try to subdue or disarm him to save others.

Therein lies the problem. While Rittenhouse may or may not have intended to kill people, he created a situation of intense danger by what he did.

Now, after he has shot one person in the head, isn't it even more reasonable for the crowd to believe that he is there to mass murder? At that point, wouldn't it be an act of duty to try to subdue him?

No one would be dead and no one would have tried to subdue him if he hadn't gone out at night to present himself as a killer.

Rittenhouse is not a hero. He has his own criminal record. The right wing lunatics are declaring him a hero for shooting people who may have had different political views. That is sick.

Nice!

They'll want a slice of that civil suit against CNN that's bound to come.

Rittenhouse rid the world of a kid diddler. The very same people leftists embrace. Not guilty, your honor

Not illegal.

You know what's illegal? Throwing a molotov cocktail at someone. Assaulting them with a skateboard. Pointing a pistol at them and attempting to murder them.

That is a bullshite response. That is the same as saying the woman is at fault for getting raped because of the way she was dressed.
