Putting aside the hammer schtick, he was one of the wittiest and smartest comics of his time. I would take that over any of the foul-mouthed, locker room humor retards today.

The only joke I remember him telling was that he never flew TWA because it stands for Travel With Arabs (this was in the 80s). He only flew Delta because it stood for Don't Even Let Them Aboard.
