In this country today, a person has to allow themselves to be oppressed. No. NO. DO NOT call that oppression. There is not a grand scheme to keep people from what I described. And the truth is, it is catered to those who have little-to-nothing. If you manage to scratch out and EARN a bit of a living for yourself and family, you won't qualify for any of that help.
So, no....oppression, in this country, is not what it is trotted out to be. Opression is not what is keeping people down. "Oppression" is what those who choose to not take advantage of a system that can change their lives yell as an excuse when they have nothing left to blame.
