It was literally the same reaction spoiled kids have that get caught by their parents sneaking out or something. That girl probably acted tough all night then when the consequences came she softened up.
Or. Some of them thought “this is it, here comes the police brutality” only to find out when the cooperated the police were reasonable people who basically let them all go with a warning.
