In your opinion, what weight, if any, does the title of "Eagle Scout" carry on one's resume in today's corporate society?

A lot if you're applying for a scout leader position.

If you’re older than 19, it shouldn’t be on there

It might win you a Dundie, but that's about it.

Are you 18?

If yes... maybe a little

If no... kinda embarrassing to brag about

You don't need to put that on a professional resume IMO.

Unless you are applying for a job with the Eagle Scouts, I would say it holds little to no weight.

It pretty tough to attain. I think it shows ability to set and achieve a long term goal. I would include it. No negatives in doing so.

Basically, know your audience.
So it comes down to the position you're applying for AND the background of the person who will interview you.

But in a vacuum, I'd leave it off.

Not many people achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. It might not hold the weight it once did with the scouts crumbling to PC pressure and becoming a shadow of what they were, but it’s not a negative. Unless you are applying for some PC company
