I get it from time to time. Here’s my remedy……Roll on CBD liquid, the epsom salt gel and I drink natural calm magnesium before bed. Typically this works wonders.

Had a sleep study done and my legs were moving over 200 times per hour. Dr prescribed Mirapex and it has helped me a ton. He wrote it twice per day, once at supper and once at bed time. I'd usually forget the supper dose and just take the one at bed time and that works 95% of the time. If it's bad and keeping me awake I take a second one and it eases my legs up so I can go to sleep.

This is a prudent strategy, because medications of this class can actually cause something called “augmentation” that ends up making the RLS even worse.

Insulin resistance can be a huge factor, as well as increased estrogen, which is linked to an increase fat/muscle ratio as we get older. Might try exercising and some prolonged fasting intervals if nothing else works…

I started noticing my RLS seemed to coincide with a dinner with a lot of salt (fast food especially). There seems to be some research to verify this.

I have been there. I tried many, many things that provided some temporary relief but ultimately didn’t work. Finally I tried amputation and it has taken care of the problem. Another unexpected positive outcome is that I now receive disability payments from the government.

Yep, helped me hit my ideal BMI as well, fastest weight loss program ever.

My father had it terrible for years. Turned out that it was due to the combination of daily meds he was on.

Magnesium supplements help

I also elevate my legs for a few minutes before getting in bed

My last resort is sliding on some compression socks so I can sleep

Restless leg syndrome run in my family. I experience it from time to time but not constantly. I have 2 cousins, brother and sister that have it bad. Both take prescription meds for it. Talk to your DR.

Been experiencing RLS the last couple of years on and off. The best thing I have found is to get at least 10k steps a day and/or a good workout in.

I can really feel it at night after a long drive. It’s really frustrating and hope you can find a remedy soon.

Sleeping pills aren't enough to overcome it either

OTC sleeping pills will cause restless leg, avoid them and get more exercise instead.
