While your concern for the less fortunate amongst us is on the admirable side, this doesn't really have anything to do with "poor people".

This is about poor people it’s just poor relates to “poor me” attitude not financially unsuccessful.

Well actually, I think it’s bullshite too. And I have two kids. Do you think the government should pay citizens because they have children?

You’re a prime example of why the 19th Amendment was a terrible idea and among the worst mistakes in our nation’s history.

This is such a bullshite argument and a total cop out. You're saying if you don't have an inheritance or come from a good family you're destined to fail in this world? I've had all 4 of my grandparents and 1 parent die and to date I have inherited exactly 0 dollars and 0 cents from any of them. The notion that everyone not living off the government dole is sitting on some mountain of inherited money is total crock. Yes, I came from an intact, good middle class family, but what go me to where I am today is a lot of education, a lot of studying and a lot of hard work. I made myself into who I am now, not a pile of inheritance or family connections.

This "free" money comes from those of us who work hard and try to do the right things. While I support having a safety net to help people get back on their feet, it's not meant to become a lifestyle.

It takes a lot of nerve to demand the fruits of my labor while being too sorry to contribute to society yourself -- and then act all offended when told to get a job and be responsible for yourself and your family.

We have millions of folks trying to get into this country to take advantage of the opportunities we offer, and millions of citizens already here who too damn sorry to try.

In 5-7 weeks, those help wanted signs might finally start coming down.

This has gone on too long.

Worry about yourself, and stop judging other people. This is the 5th post about unemployment and hate for poor people. We get it.

It is worrying about ourselves and our family. We work hard, we are responsible, we endure personal heartache, and tribulations, like everyone. We sacrifice, go without, so our family will have more. We do what should be done , by getting off our asses and persevering. Half the people in the country want to sit on their front porch, eating a bologna sandwich, while making a Tic Toc video for the entirety of their lives while never putting forth one ounce of effort to better themselves or their family. They can only remain lazy if the other half of the country remains responsible. You Need Us On That Wall !

Why don’t you spend some time helping someone or making someone’s day better instead of judging people whose situation you know nothing about? Not everyone has an inheritance or comes from a decent family. Some people work very hard and life circumstances (ie health issues, death, unexpected job loss, etc) make life difficult enough
frick that. Get a job and shut the frick up. I work to out a roof over my head. frick the able bodied moochers who want to sit on their arse and collect a check. They're trash, not worthy of money or empathy.

I don't hate poor people. I hate lazy people who would rather sit on their arse and live off government tit instead of going to work and making a positive contribution to society.

I have a problem with this too. We should not be rewarding the dregs of society for popping out more kids than they can afford.

Are you a child? Do you not understand basic economics? Where do you think unemployment benefits come from? Does Louisiana have a grove of unemployment trees that just shed dollars in some undisclosed location?

Unemployment benefits affect everyone.

You are the biggest part of the problem. These people are not poor, they're lazy or apathetic. WE HATE LAZY PEOPLE AND MOOCHES. This refuse-employment situation is hurting our ability as a nation to feed itself and care for itself.

I have a beef with lazy people, but people like you are even worse. Making up BS excuses to waste everybody's time and money because you can't see past your stupid bleeding heart.

YOU ARE A STUPID WASTE OF SPACE and you ought to sign up for crybabydroppings.com

This. When I stop at Sonic and give my order, completely and clearly, "I'd like a #2 combo, large Coke and fries", I often get back "Do you want fries or tots with that?"

I'm pretty sure this board is consistent with stop paying women to have kids and no father around.

Idiot.

30,000 members? I am not going to blame the people who are suing, I blame the lawyers who more than likely spearheaded this whole thing.

It seems hard to get 30,000 without going out and targeting them.

One law firm probably contacted several law firms, got them on board (since one law firm can't represent 30k people) and they all went out looking for these people.. Offering to represent them for free and telling them that the more people who gets on board the better chance they have at winning the lawsuit.

If they win, the lawyers get their piece of the pie.

If they can get $50 from each person, that's a total of $1.5M (which i know they would be getting more than $50 a person, I am just saying it could be a night little payday for a smaller law firm.
